Believed to be around 2-3000 years old, and the oldest tree in Britain. In the village of Fortingall, Perthshire, where Pontius Pilate may have laid his head (folk story, apocryphal). Cuttings have been taken by the British Horticultural Society to maintain the tree's DNA
